Role:
 
The Vice President of Manufacturing & Operations will be a key member of the leadership team with responsibility for the overall strategic and operational leadership of manufacturing and supply chain operations. This individual will be accountable for the development and achievement of monthly, annual and long term strategic plans, and will be expected to take a hands-on approach to ensuring the success of those strategic plans.  This individual will also be responsible for implementing operational initiatives related to the reducing cost and improving efficiency and overall quality of manufacturing and supply chain operations
  • Management of the entire product realization value stream from planning and procurement, through supply chain and procurement, to final assembly, testing and delivery.
  • Collaborate with new product implementation (product development) team on new or revised product designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
  • Work with the new product implementation (product development) team to transition new or current products to contract manufacturers

Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Must be Hands On
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing and operations, including experience in the medical device industry
  •  
  • Demonstrated history using continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to improve quality, working capital, lead times, etc.
  • Experience managing complex supply chain, including multiple state-side and offshore vendors
  • Track record of scaling operations, preferably in a lean startup environment
  • Demonstrated ability to set and rapidly achieve stretch goals
  • 3+ strong professional references
